The people behind Promethean

Team

Builders who've shipped institutional systems.

Promethean is small on purpose. The people behind it have built ML platforms, run infrastructure at global scale, taught the math, and operated the businesses — the same disciplines the product is made of.

The team

The people behind Promethean.

A small group with deep roots in machine learning, infrastructure, mathematics, and operations.

TS
Tim Shoaf
Founder & CEO

Before Promethean, Tim built, scaled, and led the ML Platform & Infrastructure org (now Foundation AI) at Roblox — infrastructure that trains, serves, and monitors nearly every model and agent at the company, from voice safety to 3D asset generation.

He also stood up and scaled the data platform behind an 80PB+ data lake ingesting tens of billions of events a day. His work sits at the intersection of HPC, distributed systems, and machine learning — exactly the stack Promethean is built from.

AS
Amber Sharma
Product Manager

Amber owns the surfaces where the platform meets people — translating a deeply technical engine into a product quant developers and investors actually want to use.

Her background spans operations and analysis, with formal grounding in data privacy (CIPP/E, CIPP/US) and hands-on machine-learning training. Colleagues describe a near-limitless curiosity and a research-first instinct for getting to ground truth.

RH
Ria Hirsch
Chief Operating Officer

Operations and people leader with 15+ years designing and running scalable organizations. At Northwestern's Farley Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation she managed a $1.2M budget and drove 150% growth in curricular offerings.

Her span covered financial management, HR, curriculum, and strategic communications — aligning the messy operational reality of an early company with its growth goals.

RM
Remy Martin
Chief Information Officer

Infrastructure specialist and engineering leader. Previously Chief Privacy Officer and federal liaison at Roblox, working at the seam where large-scale systems meet regulation and trust.

NV
Neil Vodoor
Co-founder

A builder across automotive and crypto. At Rivian he led localization, built self-scheduling capabilities, and shipped customer-service dashboards that improved agent–customer communication.

In crypto he ran a Fantom blockchain podcast, grew the 15,000+ member FTM Alerts community, and built a token-listing bot adopted by Beefy, a $1B-TVL yield aggregator.

DC
David Carroll
Engineering

Site reliability and software engineer at Google and Meta, where he ran production systems at planetary scale.

Before industry he was a tenure-track professor, holding a PhD in Mathematics from Texas A&M — the rare engineer who can both prove it and ship it.

Join us

Small team, big surface area.

We're looking for a few people who want to build institutional-grade systems from the ground up — Rust-first, server-side, no legacy. These are the shapes of roles we're growing into, not a fixed org chart.

Engineering

Distributed Systems / Rust

Execution engine, scheduling, and the runtime that makes "commit" turn into trained, deployed models.

Quant

Quant Research / Strategy

Backtesting fidelity, risk models, and the vetting bar that protects the marketplace's reputation.

Product

Full-Stack / Dioxus

The developer experience and the investor app — the surfaces where the platform meets people.
